Calling Pro-Pain an innovative band is like saying Jersey Shore is an educational show. With every single release you know exactly what to expect. So the question is not whether or not they will be pissed off because in Pro-Pain’s universe there are only different degrees of pissed off. On “Straight To The Dome” those levels are way up in the red, which becomes clear as soon as you press play and the title track bursts out the speakers. Other songs on here speak for themselves as well… “Payback”, “Pure Hatred”, “Sucks To Be You” and “Bloodlust For War” are not exactly suitable titles for pop songs.

The band’s mix of metal and groovy NYHC still sounds mighty fine and makes for some über-efficient moshing material. With just 35 minutes these guys don’t wear out their welcome, they just added another solid album to their discography.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
