New York’s Neckscars return with Unhinged, their sophomore album, out now via Sell The Heart Records and Engineer Records.

Following 2021’s 'Don’t Panic,' the band tears through a dozen songs in just over 30 minutes, leaving barely a moment to catch your breath. They open with the in-your-face 'Tiers' and 'Passive Aggressive Pick-Up Truck,' channel their inner Foo Fighters on 'Dancing in the Stars', nod to Bob Mould on 'Burn Me Into Nothing', and even go alt-country on the unexpected 'Song You Used to Know'.

There’s plenty to dig into on 'Unhinged', and almost all of it hits the mark. Neckscars deserve far more attention than they’ve had so far. Here’s to hoping this record changes that.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
