Lion

4.0
I can’t really remember too much about Driver Side Impact’s debut album “The Very Air We Breathe”. But from what little I can still recall it was a little more experimental than “Lion”. This is probably thanks to the line-up changes that took place since (four went, three new ones came in). Very uninspired poppunk a la New Found Glory with a little Silverstein and Angels & Airwaves floating around in there is what you get. Even throwing in some ambient parts doesn’t improve things much. If anything at all. It seems more like a desperate attempt to have an original sound but fails to hide the fact that these songs are just plain and derivative.
