Following up on last year’s ‘Fear Of Missing Out’, The Bombpops are back with the ‘Dear Beer’ 7”, a fun little release to help tide fans over.

And while the four songs on here are indeed fun pop-punk tunes that come with some pretty self-loathing lyrics, it’s only the title track that truly stands out. ‘Pollluted Skies,’ a pop-punk love story that takes place under LA’s blanket of smog still has some redeemable qualities, but the other two cuts are simply too generic to be noticed. And well, that’s something we could do without. Especially after having heard ‘Fear Of Missing Out’ and knowing that frontwomen Poli van Dam and Jen Razavi can do so much better.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
