Nothing like a grindcore album to get you going again. Just have a listen to Ambassador Gun’s “Golden Eagle” where a bunch of Minneapolis nutcases throw crust, hardcore, thrash, death metal and punk in the mix with grindcore. They basically use everything your mommy wouldn’t like yet end up somehow sounding not quite as heavy as some other acts in the scene. Must be the punk thing.

The result is still a loud and ferocious motherfucker of an album that forges on at blistering speeds, leaving nothing and no one unscathed. It’s not pretty but then again, it’s not supposed to be. They would probably benefit from a little more diversity but that’s like asking them to be more subtle. Two things that just don’t go that well with grindcore.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
