Los Angeles’ Alpha & Omega are back with “No Rest, No Peace”, their Bridge 9 debut and second full-length overall. Formed over a mutual love of bands like Cro Mags, Integrity and Metallica, these guys hit hard with their mix of thrash and hardcore.
Chugga chugga riffs are piled on top of each other, drums are used for pounding on like there’s no tomorrow and the growling vocals courtesy of Luis Hernandez are accompanied by foam on the guy’s mouth. There’s not a whole lot of variety going on in the ten songs on “No Rest, No Peace” but they have no difficulty in getting their point across… they’re angry. They waste no time on intros or solos… they just waltz in, shred like crazy and get the fuck out.
If you find yourself dragging your ass to work and espresso shots don’t cut it anymore, you can always try this one on for size. It worked wonders for me.
