Rat Boy - Suburbia Calling

RAT BOY have recorded in Los Angeles with Tim Armstrong of Rancid, played festivals as far afield as Japan and China, and toured North America with The Interrupters. Yet for all those globe-trotting adventures, there’s no place you know quite as well as home. That’s the central topic that RAT BOY explore on their upcoming third album ‘SUBURBIA CALLING’, which will be released on October 4th via Hellcat.

Cathedral Ceilings - La La La…Whatever!

On September 6th, New Jersey power trio Cathedral Ceilings will release their second album La La La…Whatever! on Dromedary Records. La La La…Whatever was recorded and co-produced by Tom Beaujour (Nada Surf, Aeon Station). It’s an album that presents a dozen hot, guitar driven rock numbers in quick succession, with the same intensity as their growing word-of-mouth live shows will attest. The band specializes in driving rhythms and memorable hooks, delivered at a blistering pace. Its clear they were raised on a steady diet of Ramones, Marked Men, Cheap Trick and beer.

Chubby And The Gang - And Then There Was...

Chubby and the Gang announced its new album And Then There Was... set for release October 4th through new label home Flatspot Records. The record is 16 songs written and performed by Charlie Manning, produced by Jonah Falco, and recorded and mixed by James Atckinson. It’s a mix of control and chaos, love and loneliness, rage and vulnerability that blends hardcore punk with the most infectious elements of ‘70s rock n roll and doo-wop. Single “To Be Young,” out now, is a two minute romp about the unpredictability of the future.

Human Impact - Gone Dark

Human Impact, the laser-precision noise-rock alliance of Unsane frontman Chris Spencer, Cop Shoot Cop's squall-maker Jim Coleman, Made Out of Babies' Eric Cooper and Daughters' Jon Syverson, release Gone Dark, the band's second full-length album, on Oct. 4 via Ipecac Recordings. Gone Dark is a fiercer, tighter upgrade of their taut grooves, brittle guitar shards, impassioned shouts and clouds of dystopian noise. Not a cry from the darkness but a shout through the darkness, a robust proclamation of resilience and opposition in the face of impending apocalypse.
