Liquid Mike, The five-piece alternative rock / power-pop breakout from Marquette, Michigan made their surprise mark with the release of their self-titled debut, or S/T in 2023, which quickly caught the attention of both music critics and randoms on the internet alike for its hook-heavy heartland power-pop. The band proved they were capable of doing more with a minute than most can do with 3 in their short hook laden alternative rock anthems.

Hollow Suns - Free Fall

Following their debut 2022 LP, “Otherside”, Hollow Suns returns with the EP, “Free Fall”. Tokyo band, Hollow Suns are no strangers to U.S. hardcore/punk and have always had elements of it in their music. For the most part, Hollow Suns pulled more from 90’s alternative rock bands like Foo Fighters or Jimmy Eat World; creating catchy guitar-hook-driven music. On “Free Fall” which is still present, however, Hollow Suns are diving more into the post-hardcore mix of things, pulling inspiration more from bands like Quicksand, Jawbox, and Helmet.

Gentlemen Rogues - Surface Noise

Austin Texas quartet Gentlemen Rogues celebrate aggressive guitar pop anthems — bearing the influences of The Replacements, Superdrag, Jawbreaker, and similar visionaries — and have been gaining momentum and increased attention. Since their debut in 2011, the band — Danny Dunlap (guitar/vocals), Josh Power (drums), John Christoffel (guitar), and Dave Hawkins (bass, vocals) — have honed their hooks over numerous singles, EPs, and the 2022 full-length collection, A History of Fatalism.

The Kimberly Steaks - Big Noise
