Album Reviews

Hamm’s Beer brand ambassadors The Chugs are back with a new opus called ‘Eternal Brewtopia.’ Sure, it’s just six songs, but that’s plenty of time to drink a couple of brewskies while you enjoy the complete mayhem these Indiana natives unleash.
According to the band, this EP “takes a deep dive into the birthplace of the best memories, the worst decisions, and the greatest beer ever brewed.” So it’s basically life’s highs and lows set to the tones of catchy as all hell punk rock that should be played as loud as possible.
Opener ‘Minnesota Sober’ is a great title for a great song, offering all the singalong action you could possibly ask for. ‘Been A Long Time’ borders on hardcore, like a Fidlar tune that turns out to be a bad drunk and just starts going off at all the other regulars in the bar. ‘I Just Wanna Watch TV’is another banger that reminded me of the Pkew Pkew Pkew song where he wants to buy his Playstation back. Can’t remember if he got it back in the end, but this song kicks ass. Scratch that, this whole EP kicks ass. Get it. Now.
