Atlanta’s Billy Batts & The Made Men are back with their new album For The Surly Types, which will be out on Rad Girlfriend Records (pre-order). Today, we are happy to premiere lead single Goes This Way. You can check it out below.

Most of the band members are barely out of their teens—one member is still in his—and they’re keeping it simple: fast, loud, and unapologetically themselves. No trends, no frills, just straight-ahead punk rock with plenty of bite.

Produced and recorded by Joe Queer of The Queers, the album blends the speed and grit of early 80s hardcore (think Black Flag) with the melody and attitude of 90s punk (a la the Vandals). Expect sharp guitars, punchy vocals, and a rhythm section that doesn’t quit.

It’s raw, it’s loud, and it’s exactly how you want your punk rock.
