Middle-Aged Queers shared their latest single, a raucous cover of Mazzy Star’s "Fade Into You". Their rendition will be available on all major streaming platforms just ahead of their much-anticipated annual Valentine's Gay shows taking place Valentine’s Day weekend at 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley and Café Colonial in Sacramento.
"Fade Into You" captures the essence of longing and reflection, making it a perfect fit for the romantic spirit of Valentine's Day. The band's cover invites both new fans and devoted followers to experience this classic track in a fresh light.
Middle-Aged Queers’ frontman Shauners shares: “When our bassist, Josh, came to us with the idea of covering this song, I was incredibly skeptical. He then upped the ante by persuading us to let him sing it, with me relinquishing lead vocal duties in exchange for playing bass on the track. I’m delighted with the results; it’s like we turned Mazzy Star into an early Jawbreaker tune.”
In addition to the new single, the Valentine's Gay shows promise unforgettable experiences filled with music, camaraderie, and defiant joy. Showgoers of all ages can expect hijinks galore and good-natured fun as Middle-Aged Queers perform audience favorites as well as their new release.
