On their new single, "ASM KoP", Philadelphia power-pop group The Blackburns reminisce about working at the mall as a wall of fuzzed out guitars swirls around your head. "ASM KoP" is the second single from their recently announced album Alternative Rock that will be released on Friday, April 24th on Sell the Heart Records (vinyl/CD) and Discount Cemetery (cassette). Alternative Rock follows up their 2024 self-titled debut that captured the spirit of 90s alt-rock with a focus on hooks and some well-placed humor. 

"ASM KoP stands for Assistant Store Manager, King of Prussia. The song is based on my experience working in America's fourth largest shopping mall, and it's set against mountains of fuzz guitar and dreamy synth pads that will have you wondering if the Blackburns gaze down at our shoes when we perform." - Nick Palmer

Alternative Rock will be released on Friday, April 24th and vinyl pre-orders are available at Sell the Heart Records. The band is also collaborating with horror clothing brand, Discount Cemetery, on a limited edition tape release of the album.
