Here you go, some anti-inflammatory cream for you. Trust me, you’re going to need it after listening to the bruiser that is “Subjective Concepts”. Brought to you by Olympia, WA’s Strange Wilds, “Subjective Concepts” is a solid offering for those of you who think Touch & Go and SST releases are the shit and don’t mind a fresh addition to their record collection.

With their mix of early grunge and unapologetic hardcore, Strange Wilds turn songs like “Pronia”, “Disdain” and “Autothysis” into abrasive cuts that will make you think of Mudhoney, the Melvins and of course, Nirvana before thrashing wildly around your living room. Is it original? Not really. Is it good? Yup.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
