UK outfit Fights And Fires have a new album in the form of “Live Life Like A Tourist”. It’s a title we can get behind… be curious, explore, meet new people and have a good time doing it. Something else we can get behind are the songs that make up “Live Life Like A Tourist”, a collection of eight punk rock cuts with hardcore roots and plenty of rock ‘n roll swagger.

Whether you are talking about the riot-inducing “Church Bells”, the thrill ride that is “Camping” or "Take A Swing At The World" (which oddly enough comes with a slight Rage Against The Machine vibe), these tracks will make you want to break stuff. You can just about touch the energy that is radiating from the rhythm section and the riffs are as aggressive as they are melodic. The gruff vocals took me a bit of time and effort to get into, just a tad too grating at times. But once you get used to them, you will find that everything gels together nicely. Fans of The Bronx or Every Time I Die should find plenty to enjoy on here.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
