A movie from the late 80ies already taught us that Earth Girls Are Easy. Turns out that almost three decades later, Earth Girls are still easy… on the ears.

This Chicago-based outfit crank out four more delightful slabs of garage-y pop-punk with plenty of hooks and sugary vocal melodies on “Someone I’d Like To Know”. Think 60ies pop ditties with Ramones-like energy and a great frontwoman in the form of Liz Panella.

All four songs are a ton of fun, but if we’re picking favorites then it would have to be “Room To Breathe”. Not only does it have the best melodies, but the backup vocals and the noisy end just make this an absolute standout.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
