Danko Jones bursts out of the gates with “Terrified” on album number six so let me get right to it as well… “Rock And Roll Is Black And Blue” is a disappointing new album by Canada’s favorite rocker. The opening trio passes through without causing a single ripple in the water and “Just A Beautiful Day” sounds like it was written on the back of a napkin. And it just keeps on dragging along from there.

Exciting rock n roll… that’s what Danko Jones stood for. This however sounds as if the burnout isn’t that far off. Something he already seems to know himself as well (“You Wear Me Out”, “Always Away”). I’m thinking Mr. Jones needs to lay off the long-legged ladies for a while before recording another album.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
