Upcoming Releases

Sweet Gloom are back with their sophomore album, No Love Lost, out August 21 via Sneak Dog Records. To mark the occasion, the Los Angeles punk band today share lead single and music video "Box Dye."
"Box Dye" is a lovesick punk song about dreaming of someone you know you shouldn't want – only to wake up still unable to shake the feeling. Built around a crush with "big blue eyes / That always seem a little green sometimes," the track captures the blurry line between fantasy and bad idea.
Rawer and more blown-out than the band’s 2023 debut LP Reverie, "Box Dye" shows off the sharper edge of Sweet Gloom in No Love Lost. Frontman Jaake Margo's old-school crooner vocals ride fuzzed-out guitars and sweet "ooh yeah yeah" harmonies, backed by a fuller lineup: Avery Okamura (lead guitar/vocals), Chris Clark (bass/vocals), and Morris Carrillo (drums).
Recorded at District Recording in San Jose and produced by Ryan Perras, No Love Lost is Sweet Gloom at their most direct – louder, rougher around the edges, and closer to the raw energy of their live show. Across 10 tracks, the band tear through crushes, bad timing, giving up, losing your mind, falling too hard, and trying to outrun feelings that already caught you.
