Upcoming Releases

Chastity will release a new full-length, I Built This Prison Myself, on November 13, 2026. The album is based on a story from the band’s hometown of Whitby, Ontario, focusing on the Whitby Psychiatric Hospital and a 1976 fire set by a 16-year-old patient who burned down a barn on the hospital grounds.
Written by Chastity’s Brandon Williams, the 10-song album uses the story as a starting point to explore themes of fear, powerlessness, control and identity. The album’s title reflects its focus on the ways external pressures can become internalized.
Chastity has also shared the first single, “Misled Youth.” The album moves between melodic hardcore, shoegaze and punk, and follows Williams’ increasingly narrative approach to songwriting.
Since forming in 2015, Chastity has developed out of Whitby’s independent music scene, including organizing shows in a barn outside town when there were few local venues for punk and independent music. The shows later hosted bands including PUP and Metz, with proceeds supporting a regional youth mental health service. Chastity has since toured internationally with artists including Sunny Day Real Estate, Alexisonfire and Deafheaven.
I Built This Prison Myself follows the band’s 2018 album Death Lust, 2019’s Home Made Satan, 2022’s Suffer Summer and 2024’s Chastity.
