Denmark's Riot Sun released their debut single ‘Elegy’ on June 1st. Placed somewhere between punk, post-hardcore and 90’s alternative rock. Riot Sun is an echo of anger, frustration, anxiety and resistance. The mission is to create energetic and hard hitting punk rock with compelling melodies for the masses. Imagine what it would sound like if Courtney Love and Billy Corgan were to teach the grandchildren of Dead Kennedys and Black Sabbath how to play music.
The band members and have played music together throughout their childhood and youth, crisscrossing in the group, but this is the first time we’re creating something as a united collective. It all started at Roskilde Festival when in drunken excitement the band agreed on forming a band built on our friendship and hunger for playing fast-paced punk.
