Norwegian duo TAPE TRASH has been playing in bands since their teenage years, drawing inspiration from the music that first made them pick up their instruments. Blending elements of shoegaze, alternative rock, emo, and punk, the band carves out a raw, anthemic sound. EDEN is the band's sophomore album and will be released via Tiny Engines on October 31st.
Following their shoegaze heavy singles SINCE 94 and WE WILL COLLIDE, TAPE TRASH shift gears with DAZZLE & DECEIVE, a sharp cut of early 2000s dance punk. It is their most groove oriented track to date, driven by tight disco rhythms, angular guitars, and a chorus made for shouting. And yet, the emotional undercurrent running through TAPE TRASH is still present, restless energy balancing between beauty, ecstasy, anxiety, and confusion.
