North Carolina pop-punk quartet Summer Wars have announced their debut EP. “Better Days” is set to release on October 30th.

Listen to debut single ‘Weight of the World’ HERE.

 Track Listing:

1. Something Out Of Nothing
2. Effortless
3. Weight Of The World
4. Better Days

Formed in Raleigh, NC in early 2015, Summer Wars was initially born as an expression of frustration and disillusionment. Founded by vocalist Tripp Rowe (vocals), the project quickly took on a life of its own when Rowe joined forces with Phillip Wilson (who would go on to take over full time drumming duties) before enlisting the help of nationally renowned Seth Henderson (Knuckle Puck, Real Friends).

With the additions of Noah Whiteman on guitar and Brett Caldwell on bass, Summer Wars take elements of summery 00’s pop-punk and combine it with a gilt-edged instrumental emphasis. “Better Days” guides the listener through four upbeat and hook-laden anthems. Whilst maintaining an assertive delivery, Summer Wars prescribe to the school of thought that pop-punk music should still be heartfelt, hook heavy and carefree, belying their less than 12 months as a band with an accomplished debut release and one which sets a high bar for future work.

With the debut record imminent and support with Handguns, ROAM & Broadside on the horizon this winter, the release of “Better Days” indeed spells a bright future for the young Raleigh outfit.
