Following the release of two EPs, Santa Ana, CA based punk band Apathy Cycle decided to take things to the next logical level. After having spent over a year writing, they are now getting ready to release their self-titled debut album via Tent City Records (digital pre-order) and No Time Records (tape pre-order) on April 24th.

Tackling everything from frustration with the health care system, injustice, corruption, empathy, divisiveness in the modern world and even the Armenian Genocide in their lyrics, it is not hard to describe Apathy Cycle as a socially aware and politically conscious band. Pinning down their sound is a bit more of a challenge. Sure, it’s  fast-paced, furious punk rock. With the occasional excursion into thrash and ska while also leaving room for their slightly more experimental streaks. Think Propagandhi, Pears, Strike Anywhere and Good Riddance. Don’t take our word for it though, check out the album below.
