Brooklyn hardcore firestarters Cash Bribe have dropped 'Demonomics,' the title track off the band's upcoming third EP, set to arrive June 13 via their new label home, Futureless.
Known for their raw sound and no-holds-barred delivery, 'Demonomics' marks a major step forward for the band—both sonically and politically. The five-track release is their most aggressive and refined to date, brimming with contempt for late-stage capitalism and the decay it leaves in its wake.
'Demonomics' is the first Cash Bribe release produced by Zach Miller (ex-Gel) at Landmine Studios, the same walls that have echoed with the fury of hardcore heavyweights like Year of the Knife and 25 Ta Life. Mastering duties were handled by Sasha Stroud at Artifact Audio, with striking cover art and layout by Unexpected Spector and photos by Moya Ferenchak.
Building on the buzz of their 2023 EP Escape From New York (Fanxdangxo Records)—which drew praise from Metal Injection and Decibel Magazine—Cash Bribe now step into their most furious era yet. On Demonomics, they inject even more venom into their blend of grimy hardcore, nihilistic punk, and searing metal riffs. Tracks like “Faith Aversion” and the title track cut push into darker, heavier territory, while “Bay of Pigs” slams with raw, low-end swagger that owes as much to Motörhead as it does Black Flag. Thematically, Demonomics is a defiant middle finger to the systems of oppression that grind people down. Dahlstrom’s scathing lyrics don’t mince words, tearing into billionaire power structures and the rot at the heart of modern society.
Formed in 2019, Cash Bribe’s reputation for searing live shows and relentless recordings has carved them a cult following in the underground scene. With Demonomics, they’re not just turning up the volume—they’re turning it into a weapon.
Brace yourself.
