Ducking Punches has announced their first headline UK tour with a brand new band lineup. The tour will criss-cross the country from Plymouth to Manchester Punk Festival via Norwich and Leeds. Celebrating the three words you think of when at a Ducking Punches gig, the band have also unveiled a new video for ‘Fun Fun Fun’ – two minutes brimming with energy, desperate vocals and scathing guitars. This is the latest video taken from the 2016 Xtra Mile Recordings release Fizzy Brain.
Ducking Punches had a riotous and see-saw 2016, releasing Fizzy Brain after signing to Xtra Mile Recordings and embarking on as many shows as could be crammed in. This manic run was cut short when frontman and songwriter Dan Allen broke his leg in a soapbox racer accident on a video shoot for ‘Greedy Bones’ (you can watch the video minus accident here). Unable to support label-mates Skinny Lister on their UK album tour, and tasked with assembling a new band, Dan spent two months recuperating.
After this forced hiatus a new band was formed, their first performance headlining the Xtra Mile Recordings Independent Venue Week show at the Monarch in Camden, London in January 2017. This will be their first full headlining tour. Ducking Punches will also tackle further shows in the summer throughout Europe and select dates at festivals and in the UK. Full dates below.
The band will be accompanied on this UK tour by Safe Gigs For Women who will be promoting their cause with friendly chats and merchandise.
