Emo band Flight Patterns have shared their new single, ‘Cadence’. The single is taken off the band’s upcoming self-titled debut album, out August 12th via Chillwavve Records.
"We wanted to write a fast song with a lot of energy to play live,” says the band about the new single. “This is the third song in our discography where we mention skating because Max is really good at tre flips."
Flight Patterns has been releasing music rather silently since 2017, often in EP and singles. Their debut album is their most full-sounding release to date. "The majority of the album was written during my first two years of college." Says vocalist Alex Wong. "It’s largely about moving away to somewhere new, and growing up and apart from your friends. The album took over 3 years to come out because we were super busy with class and work."
