Connecticut’s Cinema Stare have shared their latest single “FML” out through Static Era Records. “FML” is an anthem for trying times, coping with feeling unadjusted and being angry at the world we live in. Vocalist and guitarist Quinn Miller’s voice soars over punchy riffs and thoughtful melodies. The dynamic energy of the song carries through unique vocal progressions and rhythmic shifts. Lines like “They say suck it up you’re so dramatic, but what if I can’t?” are instantly relatable and poised to stick in your brain.

On the track’s lyrics, Quinn expands:

“Literally as the title describes, it’s a song about being helpless and pissed off. The chorus starts with, ‘Guess I’ll just bleed, Another body for the heap.’ Essentially saying I’m a useless cog in the world and my pain and distress to exist don’t matter to those at the top. Yet, I still have to push through the bullshit as they replace art with AI slop.”

“FML” was produced, engineered, and mixed by Chris Teti at Silver Bullet Studios with mastering by Will Putney.
