The Bruce Lee Band is back at it, a year after its acclaimed Division in the Heartland EP. "Did You Find the Money Farm?" is the first single from the band's upcoming full-length album, delivering a sneering indictment of the dehumanizing excesses that are in lockstep with late-stage capitalism.

"You pattern your life after powerful people, follow the path through the door / one step inside and you'll never look back, you ride on the backs of the poor," vocalist Mike Park sings over ominous horns and an unrelenting rhythm.

It's a serious message delivered with the loose swagger that the Bruce Lee Band has perfected over the past decades. "Did You Find the Money Farm?" also marks the first musical collaboration between Park and Fishbone's Angelo Moore. Moore lends his skills as both a saxophonist and mesmerizing physical presence in the video, along with Park and trombonist Jeremy Hunter (We Are the Union, Skatune Network).

The single and its upcoming LP One Step Forward, Two Steps Back were recorded over a raucous week-long session, where band members including Jeff Rosenstock, Dan Potthast (MU330), and Kevin Higuchi (Jeff Rosenstock) gathered and turned Mike Park's acoustic demos into full-bore, ear-buzzing anthems. The results highlight the Bruce Lee Band's uncanny ability to create songs that make your body move while your mind expands.
