Lincoln indie-punks Bad Ideas have revisited their roots ahead of their next album. Returning to Seamus Wong in Leicester, the band have added a new spin to ‘One Seven Two’, taken from their 2012 debut, ‘Murder Of Gods’.

“We went to Seamus Wong in Leicester to record some live versions of songs of our as of yet unreleased third album,” the band explain. “Seamus is where we recorded our first album back when Bad Ideas was still an acoustic based project. We had some time left over at the end of the night and thought it would be fitting to give one of the old tracks off that album a re-working with two electric guitars.”

Far from reliving the past, the live session showcases Bad Ideas’ development from their acoustic beginnings, mixing their early influence with their more electric sound.

Bad Ideas will be touring alongside The Gospel Youth and Midday Committee this week, starting on the 5th November at Cambridge’s Cornerhouse.
