I always thought midnight reruns were cool. Nothing like being passed out in the couch, watching something without really having to watch it because you’ve already seen it once before. Then again, I’ll pretty much watch everything at that hour. There was even a period where I was struggling with a mild addiction to infomercials. Anyway, my point is that midnight reruns are cool. And the band that goes by the same name is cool too. Not by extension, they are pretty cool in their own right.

Started in 2010 by Graham Hunt (who used to be one of Trapper Schoepp's Shades), this Milwaukee-based power-pop outfit hits things off with the rocking opener that is “Going Nowhere”, then launch into the single (“King Of Pop”) and then continue to weave between faster and slower songs from there on out. Hell, there’s even room for a little jam session in “Basement Guy”. One thing all the songs have in common is that they are extremely catchy… just listen to these cuts once and they will be stuck in your head for days. It’s like they can’t stop themselves from launching into yet another hook.

They describe it as ‘aggressive slack’ themselves. I’d go with the most fun you can have with your pants on.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
