MC Lars is back with a new nerdcore album called “The Zombie Dinosaur” and it comes with songs about hipster moms (“Hipster Mom”), Star Wars (“If I Were A Jedi (That Would Be Hella Awesome)”), Hans Moleman of The Simpsons (“The Ballad Of Hans Moleman”) and a track about how Sublime with Rome is not the same thing as Sublime (“Sublime With Rome (Is Not The Same Thing As Sublime)”). Yes, the titles pretty much give it all away.

Oh, and there’s a song called “The Top 10 Things To Never Say On A First Date”, which was better when it was still called “United States Of Whatever” and didn’t come with lyrics that seem plucked from a Buzzfeed article.

MC Lars sounds like Weird Al rapping and just like a meme, some of the songs are good for a chuckle once, but it’s not like you are going to save them to browse through at a later date. “The Zombie Dinosaur” is not terrible, but as far as nerdcore goes, I think I’ll stick with my old Atom & His Package albums instead.
