The Last Stand is not just the movie that marks the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger to the white screen, it’s also the name of a hardcore band out of NYC boasting members of Inhuman and Shutdown. They released a first 7” in 2011 and have now dropped their first full-length, “The Time Is Now”.

Apparently things started out as a way to make music between friends and just have fun, but at the same they’re out to prove that NYHC is still very much alive. And they succeed. With guest appearances by Sick Of It All’s Lou Koller, Vision’s Dave Franklin and Agnostic Front’s Joseph James, these guys crank out 13 NYHC anthems that are as big on aggression as they are on groove. Doesn’t matter how many times you’ve hard this before, it still does the trick!

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
