The Swedish dudes that make up Junkstars are back with what is already album number three. Seeing as they only got together in 2012, that adds up to one album per year. But quantity doesn’t necessarily mean quality, does it?

“This Means War” comes with nine punky rock ‘n roll stompers that are packed with sleazy riffs, rhythms that will help you work up a sweat and the kind of raw vocals that I assume can only come from heavy drinking and smoking one pack a day. Songs like “Monster Blood” and “Unrighteous Grave” aren’t too shabby, but it all kinda sounds the same and it’s not like what they’re doing was original to begin with.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
