2010’s self-titled album was already pretty damn impressive, but with “A Healthy Fear” Gifts From Enola take a leap forward and end up with a hauntingly beautiful album that’s capable of kicking your ass just as well as pulling on your heartstrings.

The post-rock/metal act from Virginia pulled out all the stops on this one and came up with a mix of everything you love about post-rock but with more vocals and heavier riffs. They’ll seamlessly stitch together more chaotic, mathy parts with melancholic Deftones-like guitar lines before working their way to a noisy climax… and they’ll do it all in one minute. Impressive to say the least!

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
