Generation 84 has been a mainstay in the Belgian punk rock scene for ten years and to celebrate the occasion, they have now released a new 6-song EP. If you haven’t heard these guys before, just think of Rise Against fronted by BoySetsFire’s Nathan Gray. And if that sounds like they have some pretty big shoes to fill, don't worry... these guys have it covered.

They kick things off in high hear with ‘Unwavering Metronome,’ a highly melodic and energetic slice of punk rock with a solid chorus that immediately sets the bar high. This one is quickly followed by ‘Office Innocence,’ equally strong and punctuated by hardcore growls and a Maiden style guitar solo. More hardcore influences shine through in the one-minute blast that is ‘Two Kids With Scars PT 1,’ before the band dishes out more melodic goodness in PT 2 and the Ignite-like ‘End This Now,’ before rounding things up with a title track that finds Generation 84 pulling out all the stops.

Track listing:

  1. Unwavering Metronome
  2. Office Innocence
  3. Two Kids With Scars PT 1
  4. Two Kids With Scars PT 2
  5. End This Now
  6. Leap

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
