When Affiance dropped their debut, it was clear that there was a lot of potential that they hadn’t completely cashed in on. Fast-forward two years… Affiance are back with “The Campaign” and seem to have learned their lesson.

The dual guitars come courtesy of Brett Wondrak and Dominic Dickinson and sound like a mix of Killswitch Engage and Iron Maiden riffs. Add a tight rhythm section and a vocalist who’s as versatile as Ignite’s Zoli and you’re looking at a damn fine line-up.  Sure, it all sounds a little cheesy but it’s well-executed and comes with some prime headbanging moments.

If you’re looking for some metal tuneage that isn’t afraid to look back to the past while at the same time throwing in some breakdowns, Affiance might just be the band for you.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
