Acaro is a relatively young band out of Boston and on “The Disease Of Fear” they constantly walk the line between metalcore and modern death metal. One thing that is a constant is that shit has to move… they hardly ever take their foot off the gas and shred like crazy for half an hour. Meanwhile the vocalists are constantly switching between grunts and screams without once going for the clichéd clean vocals in the chorus.

“The Disease Of Fear” is not a bad debut. Unfortunately not every song sounds equally convincing. Some of the transitions feel awkward and the constant fast pace gets kinda tiring after a couple of songs. I’m thinking they can do a lot better than this.

Lacking the talent to actually play in a band, Tom decided he would write about bands instead. Turns out his writing skills are mediocre at best as well.
