Duncan (Ken Marino) is a poor schmuck who gets the shit kicked out of him in life. His boss makes his life impossible, his girlfriend Sarah (Gillian Jacobs) is needy and his mom is not only meddling but she has a new boyfriend who’s about one third of her age. Plus he struggles with some daddy issues. As if all that isn’t bad enough just yet, he also suffers excruciating pains every time he has to go take a dump.

That’s because he has a demon living up his ass. Like Duncan points out somewhere in the movie, this is not a metaphor. He has an actual demon living up his ass, one who looks like a cross between ET and the thing in Basket Case. It crawls out whenever Duncan is experiencing enormous stress and kills whoever gets in Duncan’s way. When Duncan finds out about this with the help of his psychiatrist (Peter Stormare), he decides to bond with the demon he has named Milo and which is the personification of his subconscious.

As bonkers as this all sounds on paper, it actually makes for a fun movie. It’s not exactly subtle, movies where people’s dicks get bitten off usually aren’t. But thanks to plenty of jokes in the script by Jacob Vaughan and Benjamin Hayes along with a solid cast, Bad Milo! is not a bad way to spend an hour and a half.

Extras on the DVD are kind of limited but include a couple of outtakes and deleted and extended scenes along with some alternate takes.
