One of the latest bands in a seemingly neverending stream of cool bands out of Philadelphia (Beach Slang, Modern Baseball, Thin Lips, Hop Along and about a zillion others), is Hurry. Living up to their name, they released a full-length earlier this year (“Guided Meditation”) and are already following up on that with a new 3-song EP called “Casual Feelings”.
If you like unpretentious poppy yet rocking songs that harken back to the greats like Teenage Fanclub, then you are safe with these guys. They have that laid-back feeling down pat and show they know their way around a hook. Casual feelings? More like instantly smitten.
