On their seventh album "From Parts Unknown", Every Time I Die sound hysterical and uncompromising. Although Frontman Keith Buckley seems to have put (most of) his angry thoughts – remember "Ex Lives"? – out of his head and decided to let some more ‘fun’ in, the main focus still lies on the relentless brutality they’re known for.

‘Fun’ might give you the wrong idea though, as the first words Buckley screams in opener “The Great Secret” are 'blow your fucking brains out! Blow your fucking brains out!'. On “Decayin’ With the Boys”, Every Time I Die sound more accessible and will make every punk lover want to crank up the volume. The weirdest track on the album is definitely “Moor”, where the Buffalo boys put away their guitars for a minute and accompany Buckley on a haunted piano.

'From Parts Unknown' feels perfectly balanced, yet very unpredictable. Every Time I Die once again prove that when you’re a sucker for heavy riffs and frantic screaming, you can always rely on them. Another solid album!
