Upcoming Releases

Ontario punk trio Among Legends are gearing up to release their long-awaited new full-length, Lose My Grip, arriving July 10, 2026. The album marks a significant step forward for the band, showcasing a sharper, faster, and more emotionally direct approach than anything in their catalog to date. Produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Matt Gauthier at ARC Recording Studio and This Place Needs A Name, Lose My Grip captures a band that has spent nearly a decade refining its identity through relentless touring, lineup changes, and years of hard-earned experience on the road.
Formed in 2016, Among Legends emerged from southern Ontario's rich punk and ska tradition, drawing inspiration from bands like The Flatliners, Hostage Life, and Broadcast Zero while embracing the melodic songwriting and vocal harmonies of Bad Religion and Less Than Jake. While earlier releases leaned more heavily into modern pop-punk influences, Lose My Grip finds the band pushing beyond those boundaries, delivering a record built on urgency, honesty, and momentum.
The album arrives following a turbulent and transformative period for the group. The delayed release of their debut full-length Take Good Care during the pandemic, coupled with significant lineup changes, forced Among Legends to rebuild and redefine themselves. Rather than slowing them down, those challenges became the foundation for a collection of songs that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable.
Throughout Lose My Grip, themes of burnout, uncertainty, resilience, and self-reflection take center stage. Tracks like recent singles “H/A/C/K” and “Floating Here For Years” showcase the album's emotional range, balancing driving guitars and infectious hooks with lyrics that confront stagnation, frustration, and the search for forward movement. Together, they offer a glimpse into a record that is less concerned with fitting neatly into a particular scene and more focused on forging genuine connections through lived experience.
That authenticity is woven into every aspect of the album. You can hear it in the long overnight drives between shows, the countless hours spent loading gear into small clubs, and the endless stretches of highway that have shaped the band's journey. Lose My Grip feels like the product of those moments, a record built by musicians who have spent years earning every mile and every opportunity.
Featuring Mitchell Buchanan on bass and vocals, Sara Fellin on drums and vocals, and Tyler Boles on guitar for the recording of Lose My Grip, the album represents both a culmination of the band's first decade and the beginning of a new chapter. Confident yet vulnerable, melodic yet aggressive, Lose My Grip captures Among Legends at their most focused and fully realized. It is a record shaped by perseverance, growth, and the determination to keep moving forward, even when the destination remains uncertain.
