Manchester band Aerial Salad will release their new album, Ideal World, on November 6, 2026 via Venn Records.

The album follows 2024’s R.O.I. and the Roi de l’herbe EP, released in 2025.

The band has shared the first single from Ideal World, “Everybody Needs Somebody,” a song about love, friendship and finding hope during difficult periods. BBC Introducing has already featured the track.

Vocalist and guitarist Jamie Munro says:

“It's a fresh yet familiar sound, beautifully arranged and carrying a powerful message. The song is about love and friendship in the darkest of times, centred around the lyric: ‘Life is one memory. If you don't believe in yourself, just keep going.’ It's a reminder not only to themselves, but also to their loved ones.”

The accompanying video was filmed at The Castle Hotel in Manchester, a venue where Aerial Salad began playing early in their career. The band invited local aspiring actors to take part, with the participants stepping into the roles of Aerial Salad for the video.

Ideal World addresses themes of hardship, fear and uncertainty, while also focusing on the possibility of positive change. The band describe the album as a reflection on the difficulties facing people in different parts of the world and the ways individuals can respond to them.

Aerial Salad’s new material follows the band’s recent releases while continuing their focus on melody-driven songwriting.
