Closed Circuit

Writer Steven Knight (Eastern Promises) and director John Crowley (Boy A) join forces in “Closed Circuit”, a neat little John Le Carré-like thriller about domestic terrorism. Following an explosion in London, barrister Martin Rose (Eric Bana) is the pompous prick that will be defending the Turkish immigrant accused of being the mastermind behind the bombing. And then there’s Claudia Simmons-Howe (Rebecca Hall), the Special Advocate who will represent the client after the case goes to closed session at the request of MI5.

Prisoners Of The Sun

Thousands of years ago a bunch of aliens called the Osiris came to earth and taught us everything about astronomy, culture and building huge pyramids. All they wanted in return was our entire planet and us as their slaves so it makes total sense that they taught us all that stuff first. Anyway, the pharaoh at the time didn’t seem to think this would be a good development and somehow managed to lock the aliens in a pyramid just when they were about to call their king. Pheww, we dodged a bullet there!

Lucia De B

Lucia De B is based on the true story of a nurse (played by Ariane Schluter) accused of being an ‘angel of death’ in a Dutch hospital. Following a wave of mass hysteria that swept through the country, she was ultimately convicted of seven murders and three attempted murders. Soon after her conviction though, a couple of people became convinced Lucia was the victim of a witch hunt and that the case was built on evidence that was circumstantial at best.
