Inspired by the classic song Mack the Knife, 'Trace of Red' reinterprets its sense of looming danger into a reflection on mortality and how quickly life can change. Musically, the track combines driving guitars, punchy drums, and melodic hooks, drawing influence from early-2000s emo and pop punk while maintaining a modern alternative rock sound. Lyrically, the song focuses on gratitude, encouraging listeners to appreciate everyday moments and relationships rather than dwell on fear or uncertainty.

Based in Anniston, Alabama, Keyton has spent nearly two decades writing, recording, and performing.
