Tess & The Details are back with their new single, "Standing on the Edge," a polished, punk-infused rock that is relatable to anyone who has ever struggled with relationships. Its music video is an homage to Wes Anderson's concept of "sad characters in pastel places," shot at local Oakland businesses frequented by the band and local punks of all generations including; 1234 Go! Records, the legendary 924 Gilman Street, Aburaya, and the band's favorite tiki bar, Kona Club. You can even spot some of their owners in comedic cameos.

"When it came to choosing locations for the shoot, we immediately gravitated toward our favorite spots, places where we grab food and drinks, buy records, get our guitars fixed, catch shows, and unwind," said drummer and Details co-founder Gideon Berger. "Partnering with local businesses in our community was important to us, and everyone we worked with was incredibly accommodating and easy to collaborate with."

"Standing on the Edge" is the first music video that Frontwoman Tess Stevens directed, but the third she has edited for the band. It was their fifth collaboration with Like Roses guitarist Devin Zamora behind the camera.

"Our videos are always up to interpretation, and we love hearing what viewers see in them, what cinematic references they pick up," said Stevens. "I see this video as the visual representation of feeling alone in a crowd."

The band is looking forward to releasing a follow-up to their debut album "Runaway" this year as well as touring California with Green Day tribute band "Not.GreenDay" and Thomas Nicholas.
