Weymouth punk outfit Weatherstate have returned with a sharp, electrifying burst of riff-driven energy, dropping their new single ‘fear’.

Vocalist and guitarist Harry Hoskins explains the track’s intense edge: “fear reflects the claustrophobia of your own mind—the fight-or-flight tension we all feel in an uncertain world. The heavier, faster nature of the song is our response to that feeling, like a needle threatening to pop a balloon. But there’s an adrenaline rush in there too, something exciting and positive.”

The single is accompanied by a music video shot in a shaky-cam style, inspired by handheld horror classics such as ‘The Blair Witch Project’, amplifying the track’s edgy energy.

With ‘fear’, Weatherstate continue to channel their signature punk rock sensibility, delivering short, sharp shocks of riff-driven intensity that resonate with the anxieties—and thrills—of everyday life.
