It’s been a minute, but Orlando’s A New Violet are finally back with new music. Their first single in almost two years, ‘Sixty Six’, arrives August 22, but you can already stream it below.
‘Sixty Six’ is a late-night drive on cracked asphalt — chipped paint, dirty floors, and a heart that refuses to stall,” shares vocalist Beth Vandal about the new single.
The band—whose members trace their roots from Chile to Baltimore—made a name for themselves with fist-pumping debut single ‘Runaway’ and their 2023 EP ‘The Heat is Getting Hotter,’ a rowdy yet surprisingly polished blast of punk-meets-alt-rock energy. Think NOFX meets Animals As Leaders.
With “Sixty Six”, A New Violet lean into a Riot Grrrl-inspired punch while keeping things sharp, melodic, and very 2025. If you like your punk big on attitude but still catchy as hell, keep an ear out for this one.
