Get ready to saddle up and dive into Gregg Turner Group’s brand new single, '4 Winds Bar,' which we are premieringtoday. Fronted by  former Angry Samoan Gregg Turner, the band delivers a dusty, razor-edged tale of outlaw chaos in a track that fuses wild storytelling with western vibes.

“I was driving back to Santa Fe from Flagstaff when my car’s Bluetooth died," tells Turner about the song's origins. "I pulled over in Winslow, Arizona—a total rat trap—and walked into this grimy coffee joint. Suddenly the theme to the old western Rawhide comes on the P.A. For the next 300 miles, with no music, I had that melody stuck in my head. I twisted it around in my brain until it became a story about a dope deal gone bad in an opium den lost in the desert. One take on my computer when I got home, then straight to the studio with Santa Fe’s own Jono Manson to finish it up!”

Joining Turner on the ride are longtime collaborators Paris Mancini on bass and David Barsanti on drums, with new addition Fred Spencer tearing it up on lead guitar. The single is produced by none other than Scott Richardson, legendary frontman of Detroit’s 60s psych icons SRC, whose studio savvy adds a sharp, cinematic punch to the group’s already powerful sound.

With over a decade of gigging across New Mexico, the Gregg Turner Group is tighter and tougher than ever. Need proof? Check out '4 Winds Bar' below.
