“Boys in bands don't feel sorry at all” - Still Talk have released their new single “When We Were Young,” combining pop-punk energy with biting social criticism.

With raw guitars, punchy production and a powerful vocal performance, “When We Were Young” presents early 2000s emo through a modern feminist lens. The lyrics tackle toxic nostalgia and gender dynamics in band culture, unabashedly critiquing a scene that often claims inclusivity while marginalizing women and non-male voices.

 

“It's about reclaiming space,” the band explains. “The song is for anyone who has ever felt excluded or silenced by the culture they love.”
