Wisconsin power-pop band Telethon have released their first new song in over two years, "Selfstarter A.E.," featuring guest vocals from rising emo-pop artist Jhariah.
The track is a hammering thrill of guitar fuzz and glockenspiel charm, while vocalist Kevin Tully (he/him) details the eternal guarantee of change and lack of control. “No matter what your plans are, the world is going to continue turning,” says Tully. “The automatic earth is going to keep showing you that it’s indifferent to your plans.”
Produced by bassist Alex Meylink and drummer Erik Atwell at Stillwave Studios in Milwaukee, and mixed & mastered by longtime collaborator Jack Shirley (Jeff Rosenstock, Joyce Manor), "Selfstarter A.E." is streaming everywhere now via Take This To Heart Records.
