Gothenburg, Sweden’s melodic hardcore unit Sharp Tongues recently released their new six-track EP, Dead Weight, out now digitally via New Age Records.

Formed in late 2021, Sharp Tongues consists of members drawn from several previous Swedish hardcore acts, including Set My Path, One Minute Left, Hope Haven, The Change, and Eyes Shut. The band’s sound bridges 1990s classic hardcore influences – such as Carry On and In My Eyes – with modern melodic structures.

Dead Weight follows the group’s debut full-length album, No Rescue, released in September 2024 via New Age Records, alongside their earlier DIY EPs Carry On (2022) and Good For Nothing (2022).
